Advice for your visit
You should plan for about 3 hours for a day at the Energy.Future exhibition and a tour of the building. But this time totally depends on what you’re interested in doing, since it’s no problem at all to spend the whole day just at our Exhibition.
Lockers are available free of charge for your coats and bags. You just need to put down a deposit of € 1, which will be returned to you after your discovery tour.
We offer a public tour of the EEZ building every Sunday at 3:00 PM. Here, you can find out everything about the premises, partners and the creation of the Energy, Education and Experience Centre. A highlight on the tour is a view from the nacelle of an E-115 wind turbine from Enercon. You can reserve in advance or decide at the spur of the moment to go on a journey of discovery with us for € 3.00 per person.
Private guided tours are possible at any time. You can find all the information you need on this under the heading “Groups.”
We also offer an audio guide to accompany you with information about the building and the exhibition. You receive detailed information on the exhibits and can call up all the important information yourself while touring the building. We also provide a children’s audio guide to the building.
A deposit must be put down to use the audio guide and a charge of € 1.00 per day will be incurred.
Our exhibition and audio guides are available in German, English, Dutch and Plattdeutsch (“Low German”). We will be glad to offer you guided tours in German, Plattdeutsch or English as well.
Our building is accredited as being handicapped accessible. It offers step-free access to the building and barrier-free access to the various exhibition buildings. All exhibits can be viewed from a standing or seated position and are thus suitable for wheelchair users. Accompanying persons will receive free admission upon presenting a mark B handicapped ID. Barrier-free tours of the building can be arranged and you are free to use our lift. Lavatories on the ground floor are large in size and have provisions for changing babies’ diapers. Our bistro is also barrier-free and has high chairs, a drawing corner and a children’s menu.
Feel free to borrow a baby buggy, walker or wheelchair for your visit to the EEZ at the reception.
The EEZ bistro gives you a chance to tank back up on energy any any time. It serves up juicy burgers, crisp salads and freshly grilled meat, as well as coffee specialties and various pastry creations. You have a rotating menu of lunch dishes to choose from each day from Monday to Friday with something for everyone.
You’ll find all of the offerings under the heading “Bistro.”
